Vor gut 125 Jahren wurde das Automobil erfunden. Es gilt als Symbol für Fortschritt, Mobilität, individuelle Freiheit. Das Auto ist mehr als nur Fortbewegungs- oder Verkehrsmittel, es gilt als Statussymbol mit Charakter. Bei den Werken dieser Serie geht es dem Künstler meist nicht nur um die Fahrzeuge. Es steht nicht nur das Automobil im Vordergrund, der Künstler zeigt z. B. nicht nur einen Mercedes 300 SL, sondern auch seine Besitzer, wie den legendären Playboy Rubirosa oder Sophia Loren. Andere zeigen die Autos mit Stars ihrer Epoche oder enthalten die Werbeslogans der Klassiker. Lohren liefert moderne Kunst und eine große Auswahl an farbenfrohen Werken mit Automobilen. Besonders diese Serie des Künstlers ist sehr erfolgreich. Viele Werke waren seit 2016 auf den großen internationalen Oldtimer-Messen und Einzelausstellungen zu sehen.
The car was invented 125 years ago. It is considered a symbol of progress, mobility and individual freedom. The car is more than just a transportation tool – it is considered a status symbol with character. In the works of this series, the artist usually not only deals with the vehicles. In the foreground we do not see just the car. For instance the artist does not only show a Mercedes 300 SL, but also its owners, such as the legendary Playboy Rubirosa or Sophia Loren. Other works show the cars with the stars of their time or contain their former advertising slogans. Lohren delivers modern art and a wide range of colorful works with automobiles. Especially this series of the artist is very successful. Since 2016, many works have been presented at the major international vintage car- and solo exhibitions.
